The Opportunity
Formed in 2021 through the merger of NaGa Solar with the existing Ampyr Energy UK solar joint venture between AGP Group and Hartree Partners, the company is now going through a major brand transformation, unifying under a single brand, AMPYR Solar Europe (ASE). Active in Germany, the Netherlands and the UK, ASE is transitioning from the Development of solar projects to Construction and Asset Operations.
The Land Acquisition Manager is responsible for identifying and capturing land suitable for the realization of a solar park. From prospect or lead to the transfer of a closed land agreement to the Development Manager. The Land Acquisition Manager strives to build its own network but is also regularly presented with warm leads. In addition, the Land Acquisition Manager proactively thinks along in the development and elaboration of new ‘business opportunities’, such as double use of land or new forms of cooperation.
Job Responsibilities

  1. Market Exploration
  • Tracking developments and trends in the market, competitor activities, customer needs, etc
  • Analyse and identify new promising sites and potential bottlenecks within the function and in the market
  • Collaborate with the Development Manager to establish contact with municipalities, provinces and energy cooperatives and determine early success rate of sites
  • Exploring new business opportunities and collaboration possibilities
  1. Realization of sales targets
  • Proactively (cold) approach landowners and prospects
  • Follow up on (warm) leads
  • Advising potential partners on the realization of a solar farm on their land
  • Closing deals with landowners of promising sites
  1. Relationship Management
  • Actively build, maintain and expand relationships with landowners
  • Organizing and leading project kick-offs after deal closing
  1. Administration
  • Processing every contact and capture details in the Company’s CRM system
  • Preparation of visit reports and turning them into periodic reports periodically t.b.v. the executive;
  • Record details regarding developments in the market and with specific clients
  • Record customer commitments, explaining appointments to fellow departments as necessary
  • Create and communicate timely and accurate quotations

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of the solar and/or agricultural sectorStrong negotiation, influencing, and commercial skills.
  • IT literate, experience with CRM system and Microsoft Office suit
  • Proactive working style, able to take initiative, work unsupervised and get things done
  • Persistence, ambition and excellent communication and interpersonal skills in verbal and written Dutch and English
  • Ability to engage, create and maintain work relationships with a wide range of stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
  • Team working skills, able to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel on a regular basis across the country.
