Responsibilities:

  • Identify and appraise new land opportunities for residential development.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with local authorities, local agent, landowners, and other developers within the Business Units area of operation.
  • Prepare accurate viabilities, supporting the Senior Land Manager or Land Director with acquisition strategies which will involve presenting development opportunities to senior colleagues for approval.
  • Collate build costs, sales market research, local planning policy and technical information to undertake a detailed assessment of a sites potential for development.
  • Work with the Planning Manager to obtain planning consents, discharge planning conditions and manage S106 obligations and CIL payments.
  • Work closely with the pre-construction, commercial, sales and affordable housing teams and external consultants, monitoring site progress.
  • Assist in negotiating legal agreements with lawyers and third parties.
  • Assist in preparing approval packs for the Main Board to obtain approval to proceed with land acquisitions.
