Job Title: Land Development Coordinator
Reports to: Director, Land Development
Company: Taggart Investments
Part of the Taggart Group of Companies, the Land Development department of focuses on developing residential lands in Ottawa and Kingston for various Group holding companies. As we continue to build on our development strategy, we are currently looking for candidates in the role of Land Development Coordinator to support the growing needs of the land development team, in helping to create and build communities.

WORK DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced Land Development Coordinator to oversee all aspects of residential land development projects, from preliminary design to completion. The successful candidate will lead a team of consultants, manage the planning approval process, and contribute to building thriving communities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Post-secondary education in urban design/planning or a related field. Graduate degree would be an asset.
  • Proven land development project management expertise with a minimum of five years’ experience.
  • In-depth understanding of land development planning, approvals, regulations, and legislation.
  • Progressive experience in dealing with municipalities.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build and maintain relationships.
  • Proficient in reading, understanding, and providing feedback on technical drawings and studies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Innovative and creative problem solver who has experience challenge the status quo to create a better product.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrates a passion for urban planning and land development.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Work, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with AutoCAD, photoshop and Adobe would be considered an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel throughout the City would be considered an asset.
