Our passionate and collaborative BC team is seeking a Surveying Branch Lead, to support our Okanagan region and lead our team from an operational standpoint. This role will coordinate and collaborate with the larger BC region and implement strategies, plans and programs to maximize operational performance in Kelowna.
Our new Branch Lead will significantly impact external clients and internal team members and must embody GeoVerra’s values and reflect the corporate strategy.
The successful candidate must be located in Kelowna and will be eligible to participate in our flexible workplace program.
What you will do:
- Lead project delivery teams to deliver quality work on time and on budget.
- Build, maintain and strengthen positive relationships with clients.
- Support operational activities in coordination with the Field Crew Coordination and Production teams.
- Provide expert advice to internal team members and clientele in the field of land surveying and geomatics.
- Manage day-to-day facilities operations in coordination with administration and the property manager.
- Promote a positive workplace culture aligned with GeoVerra’s social initiatives.
- Be a performance leader, improve profitability of projects through effective planning, active scope/schedule management, and forecast project outcomes and adjust where necessary to deliver successful outcomes.
- Support Project Managers in client and project expectations, scope creep and scope changes through active communication.
- Conduct Management Field observations on a regular basis to discuss safety with employees and ensure that safe working conditions are being maintained in accordance with GeoVerra’s standards.
- Ensure that quality, safety legislation, and industry standards are specifications are met or exceeded.
- Take appropriate action to minimize operational performance gaps.
- Be a trusted mentor, manage and develop team members toward a successful career.
- Lead and/or assist in preparing quality proposals in conjunctions with our proposal office that meet the client’s requirements.
- Participate in industry associations and proactively work to raise local GeoVerra brand awareness.
- Be a change leader, take responsibility to understand various national initiatives and provide support and training to staff to implement these locally.
- Develop and implement engagement action plans aimed at increasing retention and reducing turnover.
- Partner with the Human Resources team and actively participate in the full employee life cycle to effectively manage your workforce.
