Description:

SUMMARY

Reporting to the Associate Director, Operations Finance, this position will be primarily responsible for operational cost analysis & FP&A function for Landing Gear sites. This position will work with the various Landing Gear site operational teams to manage operational efficiency, productivity & manufacturing variances document & explain gaps vs monthly estimates and or plan/budget, perform various analysis including consolidation of the operational performance data and present business cases to management to aid in making sound business decisions. The position will be based in Oakville, Ontario.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline desired and 5 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, nine (9) years of relevant experience is required.
  • Minimum 3 years of financial analyst experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Experience with Tableau, BW / BI, Power Queries, Reporting interfaces and/or other reporting tools including knowledge of creating dashboard.
  • Experience with an ERP system.
  • Successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP and be eligible to work in Canada.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in SAP
  • CPA / CMA certification
  • Strong administrative, organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform departmental cost analysis, monthly analysis, and reporting for multiple Landing Gear sites.
  • Work very closely with various Landing Gear operations sites and perform manufacturing variance analysis, consolidation & reporting of those data.
  • Present data to Finance and Operations business leaders, including insight on potential corrective actions and forecasting compared to Plan.
  • Perform various month end activities, including journal entries, SAP & HFM schedules & various clearing process.
  • Coordinate the annual cost center budget cycle and the monthly Estimating process.
  • Actively use BW / BI, Tableau, advanced Excel and other tools for Day-to-Day analysis.
  • Perform account reconciliations for assigned accounts.
  • Apply continuous improvement methodologies to support the financial aspects of the manufacturing costing process, and other finance processes in general.
  • Support Sarbanes-Oxley and other audit or government compliance activities, reporting, and analysis.
  • Perform other duties as required.
