BUSINESS DEVELOPER JOB DESCRIPTION:
Lawns of Dallas is a premiere full-service landscape company in the Dallas Metroplex. Locally owned for over 40 years, we are a full-service landscape design, build and maintenance company. The Business Developer will be responsible for sourcing and creating more opportunities for the company to perform landscape management services in the DFW area. As part of the Sales Team, you will be a representative of the Company to prospects and clients, and will have the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of Lawns of Dallas as the premier landscape service for discerning clients around DFW.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the landscape industry
- Experience with AutoCAD and other Design Software
- Effective sales skills to drive profitable relationships with new and future clients
- Ability to work in a fast paced and professional environment
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office software
- Strong written and communication skills
- Self-motivated, with the ambition and willingness to take initiative
- Highly organized and able to follow processes

Responsibilities:
- Meeting with new and existing clients, estimating and/or designing projects, and selling the projects profitably to the client
- Creating and hitting yearly sales goals
- Providing completed job folders to the Production Team and communicating all important details of the project, in writing, in the job folder
- Understanding the client’s needs and wants, providing ongoing communication with the clients, and relaying any information to the Production Team to guarantee client satisfaction
- Attending the weekly Sales Meeting , which will include a review of current sales backlog, sold for that week/year, analysis of profitability of sold jobs, etc.
- Maintaining an updated and accurate sales sheet, provided by the company
- Completing any other duties, as assigned.
