Languages are key to broadening students’ horizons, enhancing their cultural understanding, and equipping them with skills that will benefit them in our increasingly interconnected world. At OSGNZ, we recognize that learning a second language is more than just acquiring vocabulary and grammar—it’s about fostering global citizens who appreciate and engage with diverse cultures.
As a Languages Teacher at OSGNZ, you’ll have the unique opportunity to engage students both in-person and through digital platforms like Zoom, delivering vibrant lessons that delve into the richness of the Spanish and/or French language and culture. Please note this role is not work-from-home the successful candidate will need to be based on one of the 16 OSG campuses within NZ.
Your role will be instrumental in shaping students’ linguistic abilities, from building foundational skills to mastering advanced language concepts. Familiarity with the New Zealand Curriculum and NCEA requirements is essential as you guide students through their assessments and prepare them for success in their language studies and beyond.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • All applicants must have New Zealand-based experience, preferably including experience with NCEA.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging and interactive language lessons that capture students’ interest and enhance their understanding of Spanish or French.
  • Foster a supportive learning environment where students are encouraged to take risks and develop their language skills confidently.
  • Integrate cultural education into language teaching, helping students appreciate the broader context of the language they are learning.
  • Prepare students for NCEA assessments, ensuring they meet curriculum standards and excel in their examinations.
  • Utilize both traditional and digital teaching tools to create a dynamic classroom experience, whether in-person or online.
