Larch Ward at Meadowfield Hospital in Worthing is calling for an enthusiastic and dedicated Band 6 Occupational Therapist with experience of working with people with mental health difficulties and experience of working in Mental Health Services to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team.
The role is for 22.5 hours per week for 12 months on a Fixed Term Contract or Secondment

Group work is an important aspect of the Therapeutic Programme on Larch Ward and you would have the opportunity to be part of the development and coordination of this.
You will also pro vide Clinical Supervision to O.T Support Staff and Activity Worker Support Staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

Responsibilities:
Conduct Occupational Assessments and Interventions, emphasizing relapse prevention, establishing roles and routines and promoting recovery.
Play a pivotal role in Discharge Planning by conducting Assessments, coordinating Interventions and ensuring a smooth transition for Patients back into the community.
Conduct O.T Assessments in home environments to identify O.T interventions and Equipment needs as part of Discharge Planning.
Work with Larch Ward’s forthcoming Home First service staffed with O.T and O.T Clinical Support Worker. The Home First service provides up to 6 weeks OT intervention to support earlier and/or safer discharge from the Ward.
