Laser Beam Melting Process Engineer (m/f/d) in the laboratory of materials chemistry expertises and non destructive evaluations

Within engineering center the laboratory of materials chemistry expertises and non destructive evaluations is in charge to develop new technologies from R&T to production. In this frame, the team of additive manufacturing processes is looking for a “Laser Beam Melting Process Engineer (m/f/d)” who will also deal with laser beam melting control in process topics with immediate effect in a French / German Team.

Your main tasks and activities:
- As Laser Beam Melting Process Engineer (m/f/d), you support all relevant programs (especially Ariane 6 and Prometheus) about process development and qualification for Laser Beam Melting process topics, with close links with production center and engineering department. You will therefore act as a process specialist, identifying key process parameters, giving advices and synthesis on all Laser Beam Melting relevant topics linked with process development and qualification.
- As Process Monitoring for Laser Beam Melting process engineer you contribute to the development and qualification of the technology mainly based on optical tomography. You have a large spectrum of knowledge about other NDT techniques. You also contribute to R&T roadmap about In process monitoring technologies with research eco-system in Germany and in France.
- You will also manage R&T activities in order to mature the LBM bricks necessary to prepare the future of the company. You will coordinate the different studies, make the link with the suppliers, universities and general ALM ecosystem trough conferences and direct contact
You meet the following qualifications
- As specialist in laser beam melting processes you have already a first experience in control in process for laser beam melting processes
- You also have some skills about manufacturing sequences, powders and material characterizations (metallography, mechanical testing…)
- Physical and practical mindset in link with materials & processes is required
- You have experience in the following fields:
- Additive layer manufacturing processes
- Additive layer manufacturing control In process
- Metallic materials
- Process development and test plan management
- Ability of synthesis
- Open-minded and good communication, customer oriented, rigorous and autonomous
- Fluent German and technical English skills required
