Description:
Full time position
- Maintains a clean and tidy work area and equipment, following cleaning schedules and routines for the department and ensuring the proper care and economical use of resources.
- Sorts laundry according to type, condition and weight for processing. Loads and unloads washers and dryers.
- Folds/Sorts personal clothing and delivers to appropriate residents rooms. Folds institutional linens and delivers them to the designated areas.
- Labels personal clothing in a manner that respects the resident s dignity so that clothing will not get lost.
- Removes worn or torn linens from circulation for repair or destruction.
- Observes operation of machines and reports malfunctioning to manager.
