Description:

Responsibilities:

To arrive for the shift as stated on the department rota, wearing correct uniform
. To ensure that subordinates are adhering to these times and procedures.
To control the washing, sorting and ironing all linen and the prioritizing and rotating of linen as needed.
Ensure that all equipment is in working order at all times, reporting any defects to maintenance.
To ensure all laundry assistants are fully trained.
To do a count of all linen and towels every two weeks.
To inform the Accommodation Manager of any shortage of stock.
You are responsible for participating in the company’s customer programme
To place maintenance calls to correct company, log the call in the diary and report to the Accommodation Manager.
To ensure that all supplies are used correctly, minimising waste within the department.
To liaise with housekeeping as to any needs or requests for the department.
To be familiar with the hotel Fire regulations and procedures and report any discrepancies you may find i.e. missing extinguishers
To take responsibility for the running of the department and staff on shift.
