Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, the Laundry Attendant is responsible for various tasks related to the maintenance and efficient management of laundry operations. Your role will contribute to ensuring the cleanliness and proper functioning of our facilities. You will contribute to the comfort and satisfaction of our customers by providing impeccable and well-maintained items. Your work will play an essential role in the overall experience offered by our establishment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or knowledge of laundry procedures is an advantage.
  • Understanding of care labels and washing requirements for different types of textiles.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time to meet operational needs.
  • Attention to detail to ensure the quality of washing, ironing, and folding.
  • Good physical condition to handle sometimes heavy loads of laundry.
  • Basic communication skills to coordinate the distribution of clean laundry.
  • Adherence to safety standards and procedures in handling chemicals and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Sorting, loading, and unloading washing machines and dryers according to specific instructions for each type of fabric.
  • Proper et secure use of chemicals and detergents to ensure optimal cleaning of clothes and linens.
  • Checking and treating stubborn stains before washing to achieve high-quality results.
  • Folding, ironing, and neatly arranging clothes, sheets, and towels in accordance with establishment standards.
  • Regularly checking the condition of machines, reporting malfunctions or issues, and collaborating with the maintenance department for repairs.
  • Accurate sorting and distribution of clean items to different departments or residents.
  • Maintaining order and cleanliness in the laundry area, including cleaning work surfaces and machines.
  • Managing inventory of supplies and chemicals, placing orders when necessary.
  • Adhering to safety standards at all times to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
