Description:
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY
- Knowledge of legal analysis principles, practices, and theories.
- Knowledge of legal research methods and techniques, including use of LEXIS, Westlaw, and the internet.
- Ability to analyze difficult legal problems and synthesize a course of action.
- Ability to develop a level of confidence between themselves and legal clients.
- Advance skill in written and oral communication.
- Lawer 1
- Meet minimum qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate (J.D) from an accredited law school.
- Three years of legal experience.
- Admission to practice law in Montana, or admission within one year from the date of hire.
- Preferred:
- Knowledge of healthcare law or areas of law relevant to DPHHS programs.
- Knowledge of the legislative process.
- Knowledge of administrative review procedures, all aspects of the Montana Administrative Procedures Act (MAPA), and judicial review procedures.
- Lawyer 2
- Meet minimum qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate (J.D) from an accredited law school.
- Five years of legal experience.
- Admission to practice law in Montana, or admission within one year from the date of hire.
- Knowledge of healthcare law or areas of law relevant to DPHHS programs.
- Knowledge of the legislative process.
- Preferred:
- Knowledge of administrative review procedures, all aspects of the Montana Administrative Procedures Act (MAPA), and judicial review procedures.
