Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Corporate Counsels and General Counsel, you will be working within a small tight-knit legal team. You will assist with the day-to-day operations of the legal unit and provide legal advice and services across all other business units including operations, marketing, acquisitions, developments, finance and technology. You may also be required to provide assistance to the governance and compliance functions, including directly to our Company Secretary.
The role will require the ability to work both autonomously and under the direction of the Corporate Counsels, General Counsel and other members of the Executive.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts and agreements.
- Managing the day-to-day legal requests business-wide and triaging requests for allocation within the legal team.
- Producing a range of correspondence, advice and reports which present clear, factual and pertinent information based on knowledge, research and analysis.
- Research actual or potential changes to legislation, policy or guidelines and inform relevant parties of the changes and the organisation’s position.
- Reviewing and amending a broad range of contracts and developing and maintaining internal contract templates.
- Preparing and updating policies and procedures.
