ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 17 years of age
  • Australian Citizen
  • A university degree in Law
  • Admitted to practise as a legal practitioner to a Superior Court

Responsibilities:

This is a legal job with a distinct difference.
One week you may be engaged in everyday employment law. The next could see you undertaking a fascinating variety of legal tasks rarely encountered outside the military world.

In addition to providing advice on workplace health and safety, copyright law, environmental law and the management of government contracts, your specialist duties could include:

  • Providing advice on international law and its effect on the use of aerospace power
  • Representing personnel prosecuted under the Defence Force Discipline Act
  • Assisting Commanders in areas such as equal opportunities and anti-discrimination legislation, and
  • Training those involved in the military discipline process.
