We are seeking a talented, motivated and passionate environmental sustainability individual to join our Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) team. The primary function of this role is to conduct and manage projects on a variety of challenging assignments related to environmental Life Cycle Assessment modelling and reporting.
What you will do
- You will help our clients create more sustainable products and operate more sustainably! The focus of your work will be to assist clients with product and corporate sustainability measurement and reporting. This may take the form of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) using our GaBi software, preparing Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) based results, and assisting with other sustainability-oriented projects.
- Deliver consulting projects in product sustainability, such as LCA projects (incl. research, analyses, reports, presentations, etc.)
- Deliver projects in the agreed time, duration, scope, and quality. Deliver profitable project tasks
- Manage some consulting projects in your domain and/or sector and collaborate with other domains / sectors were necessary. Strictly follow the existing QM processes incl. project closure
- Manage small to medium sized consulting projects
- Contribute to achieve the annual sustainability consulting targets in terms of revenue, bookings, and utilization
- Seek collaboration with the project team and actively ask for / provide feedback
- Gather appropriate domain knowledge in LCA, and/or sector knowledge in Chemicals and Consumer Goods
- Use own judgment to prioritize time and understand capacity situation with support of supervisor / project manager
- Submit your timesheets on a weekly basis
- Plan/Adapt your vacation planning once a month. Monitor your project status regularly (e.g. resource schedule, budget, profitability, etc.) and plan/adapt your projects once a month
- Maintain quality assurance according to Sphera’s quality management processes and for the project manager role: Be responsible for its application. Ensure all deliverables are quality assured
- Appropriately represent Sphera in client contact
- Engage with customer
- Manage any customer satisfaction issue according to Sphera’s QA process
- Identify new sales opportunities in your daily work and share with the colleagues from business development
- Inform marketing about any conference, event, etc. attendance
- Maintain Sphera’s knowledge management and provide project references (description) on closed projects and a project reference slide
- Support thought leadership in the Chemical Industry through presentations, blogs, publications of studies, whitepapers, webinars etc. on our homepage, at conferences, and journals or by posting e.g., on LinkedIn, etc.
