The Faculty of Science, Health and Engineering at Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) is a newly structured Faculty with a dynamic approach to teaching, research and industrial outreach activities.
Low Carbon Eco-Innovatory offers businesses in the LCR access to university technologies, academic expertise and financial assistance to support their low carbon journey.
The project is a partnership between Liverpool John Moores University and University of Liverpool, funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority as the lead authority.
The project is a key part of the innovation support ecosystem to reduce carbon in Liverpool City Region (LCR) businesses through the development of university – business collaborations.
We are seeking to appoint a Project Officer who has specific experience in administering public funded grants to businesses. They will work independently and exercise judgement and initiative in support of the LCEI Strategic Manager on all matters relating to the Project’s delivery. The Project Officer will take responsibility for administrative and financial aspects of the project, ensuring rigorous compliance with UKSPF requirements and University Financial Regulations, especially in relation to the LCEI Business Grants. Key tasks will be to support businesses through the Business Grant Programme and include: - Procurement and compliance aspects of government funding; Operating the LCEI Business Grant process; delivery support, monitoring of budgets and deliverables, liaison with internal University departments, industry, University of Liverpool and LCR CA as appropriate and scrupulous completion of all necessary paperwork in relation to Grant Funding commitments.
