Responsibilities will include:

  • Periodic close of German entities under the ADI group (monthly, quarterly) and key contributor to preparing our annual financial statements in accordance with German GAAP and US-GAAP.
  • Preparation of the periodic statutory or fiscal returns for the German entities which includes review of the transactions, validation of the data and submission to the respective authority (VAT, German Central Bank).
  • Embrace and support our strategy to utilize our global shared services, ensuring relevant processes are in line the German statutory and fiscal requirements, sufficient process documentation is readily available and an adequate control framework is in place.
  • Be the lead on finance relevant projects which will include management of internal and external contributors, requirements definition under consideration of statutory, organizational and technical environment, project documentation and transition to BAU-processes.

Qualification

  • Holds an academic degree in economics with a strong focus on accounting/ taxation under German law or has successfully completed the German Chamber of Commerce Accounting degree (“Bilanzbuchhalter IHK”).
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in connection with the described responsibilities and has been involved as a key contributor in transformation and project work within an accounting/controlling function in the past.
  • Strong system skills with the ability to understand and interpret global processes in an ERP system with-in a multicurrency environment.
  • Hands-on, pragmatic approach to the embedding of statutory (external) or organizational (internal) requirements into our systems and processes.
  • Business proficient language skills in German and English.
  • Highly motivated, strong own initiative, able to adapt to a developing organisation and work against tight deadlines.
  • Well developed ability to focus and prioritize.
