The opportunity
A great opportunity for a Lead Analyst to join our Group FP&A team. In this role you will be an integral part of the management reporting team; focusing on data analysis, preparing various reports and delivering key insights to support strategic decision-making across the business.
The role involves close interactions with Divisional Finance Teams to gain deeper understanding of divisional performance and its influence on the Group’s historical and future outcomes. The successful candidate must have a sharp attention to detail, the ability to distill complex data into clear, actionable messages and produce insightful and intuitive analysis.
Your new role
- Analyze and collate various components for Group performance reporting, ensuring alignment with reporting requirements
- Prepare timely insights on monthly/quarterly performance, highlighting areas where trends not meeting expectations/Plan
- Contribute to drafting Group Performance Result Memo & Power point Pack for Senior management and the board ensuring reports are accurate, concise and timely
- Assist in verifying the external Investor report for accuracy and completeness
- Build and maintain effective relationship with key stakeholders within Group and Divisions
- Identify areas for efficiency and improvement for various analytics and insights
About you
The ideal candidate will have:
- Prior experience in a Financial Services or Corporate Finance role, preferably within the Insurance sector
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to systematically navigate complex issues
- Strong Interpersonal skills to interact effectively across various Group functions and Divisions, fostering clear communication with stakeholders and building strong working relationships
- Adaptable and flexible, capable of thriving in a dynamic, face paced environment while being detail oriented and hand on with systems, numbers and strategies
- Solid technical expertise in accounting, finance, statistics or actuarial analysis is highly desirable, supported by relevant tertiary and/or professional qualifications
- Proficient user of Microsoft Excel, Power point and Word
