Lead AV Installer

Job Description: GST is looking for an experienced Lead AV technician/installer who can lead AV installation projects, manage a team, and troubleshoot technical issues. The ideal candidate should have strong AV technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively. GST provides additional technical and leadership training.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Lead installation field teams on AV projects.
• Act as the technical go-to person for the team.
• Manage and direct daily tasks for assigned technicians.
• Physically install, set up, and configure AV equipment such as LCDs, projectors, video conferencing systems, AV racks, and cabling.
• Solve technical issues related to AV equipment performance and status.
• Perform cable drops, low-voltage custom terminations, and other AV terminations.
• Organize wiring and hardware installation into racks with cable management.
• Load and change controller software and programs.
• Read AV schematics, wiring diagrams, and make necessary revisions.
• Assist with the design and planning of audio-visual solutions.
• Obtain manufacturer certifications in various areas as assigned.
• Troubleshoot and resolve AV problems and issues.
• Complete other AV-related tasks and services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of experience in related technology and installation roles.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working at heights.
• Excellent customer service skills (friendly, courteous, and helpful).
