Description:

Although this post has been advertised as a fixed term appointment, NHS Wales employees will be offered the appointment as a secondment. If you wish to apply for a secondment, you must have the approval of your line manager before applying for the role. This position may be extended or made permanent at the end of the fixed term/secondment period depending on future funding.
This is a crucial role within the ED Module Development team, requiring significant experience in this setting.
Working to a User Centred Design approach, you will be responsible for leading conversations with system users, clinicians and other key stakeholders.
The role requires a thorough experience of Emergency Department with an expert knowledge of workflow and the balance of digital and paper recording.
An in-depth knowledge of the WPAS ED Module is required with a good working knowledge of any other ED systems.
Experience of business change and implementing digital systems.
Fixed term / secondment for 12 months to meet the needs of the service

This role will involve liaising with ED Module system users, often on site to ensure a thorough understanding of the current ways of working, including:
Detailed process mapping, including timings and inclusion of all system and process steps.
Collating current paper documentation.
Collecting system requirements.
Providing specialist knowledge in the development of the ED system and ensuring users are intrinsic to development at every stage.
Building relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted partner and providing regular communication.
Acting as a digital ‘translator ’, ensuring that users requirements are translated into the digital requirement and users understand the art of the possible, as well as digital limitations.

Responsibilities:

Running the Clinical Advisory Group (CAG) – the governance mechanism used to ratify requirements.
Ensuring requirement documentation is maintained , including any change requests or decisions made by the users or CAG.
Communicates highly complex issues and sensitive information to a variety of internal and external stakeholders at all levels including; NHS Local Health boards, suppliers, DHCW, NHS Wales and the Welsh Government. Information may have national and political implications for internal and external stakeholders. Collating and communicating relevant information to the SRO.
Develops and operates effective working relationships with all key stakeholders organisational, professional, customer and supplier representatives at a senior level ensuring the profile and perception of organisation and department is enhanced with all stakeholders by delivering a professional service.
Capture and disseminate technical, clinical and business information.
Facilitate stakeholder communication and promote understanding of, and agreement to, changes in services, products and systems.
Obtain input from and communicate modelling results to stakeholders for agreement.
Perform basic consulting activities (information gathering, analysis, problem resolution and presentation) in accordance with assignment objectives .
Responsible for the application and promotion of appropriate Business Analysis techniques, methodologies and tools .
Work with stakeholders to obtain formal agreement to scope and requirements. Analyse and challenge these where appropriate to ensure adherence to business objectives .
Leading and expediting communications to drive progress using business knowledge within organisations that the post holder has no direct authority over, demonstrating strong influential ability.
Introduce structured analysis concepts and approaches into department/project/service operations.
Recognise where information is potentially sensitive/contentious and carefully manage the communication of this. Understanding how to share sensitive information wider whilst protecting the interests and confidentiality of others.
Developing and publishing information for use by internal and external stakeholders. These communications must be issued with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness and agreed in advance by appropriate stakeholders .
