We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Lead Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in driving the continued growth and success of our organisation while establishing a market-leading presence in this arena. You will be responsible for securing new business opportunities, leading a team and developing strategic partnerships. Your expertise in the education sector, combined with your strong business acumen, will enable you to support our growth strategy of world domination.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven track record of success in new business development, preferably within the education or training provider industry.
  • Experience in working under pressure and comfortable working towards defined targets and KPIs set.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Proficient in using document management software, collaboration tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Prior experience using sales CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Accurate pipeline management.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to gather and interpret market data and trends to define strategic direction and growth within this area.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identifying, pursuing and closing new business opportunities
  • Lead a team of Business Development Officers/Managers, monitor team performance, provide regular training, direction, guidance, coaching and performance management
  • Develop and implement sales initiatives, strategies and processes to meet and exceed company growth targets
  • Identify and engage with key stakeholders, including educational institutions and government bodies, to establish strategic partnerships and collaborative initiatives
  • Utilise a consultative sales approach to engage with customers, understand their requirements, and propose tailored solutions
  • Negotiate and finalise contracts, ensuring profitable pricing and terms.
  • Achieve and maintain individual revenue targets to align with business growth objectives
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on business development activities, progress, and results
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and customer-centricity within the business development team.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the marketing team to develop effective promotional campaigns and materials targeted at key customer segments.
  • Maintain strong record keeping using a CRM system
  • Developing and maintaining an understanding of TQUKs internal processes, especially those related to the customer journey.
  • Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of TQUK products and services, competitors, and the educational sector in general.
  • Maintaining an in-depth understanding of regulatory requirements associated with own area of work.
  • Undertaking other duties considered within your skill and competence to assist the smooth running of the business as required.
  • Championing the organisations non-negotiables at all times to model behaviours to wider team staff.
