Description:

Join us as the Lead Business Operational Risk Manager for Macquarie Asset Management to lead a team that provides operational risk guidance across Macquarie Asset Management and to the divisionally aligned Macquarie Asset Management risk teams to ensure the consistent implementation of a strong risk management framework and in support of Macquarie Asset Management business model.
This is a 12-month fixed term position.

What role will you play?
As the Lead Business Operational Risk Manager for Macquarie Asset Management you will be responsible for ensuring the Macquarie Asset Management Risk team manages non-financial risk in line with Macquarie Group policies and standards with a particular focus on defining risk tolerance and uplifting the design and operational effectiveness of critical controls and value chains in addition to overseeing Macquarie Asset Management’s control assurance team and ensuring timely delivery of all testing and supporting reports.
Salary range for this position: $200,000 to $260,000 per year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.

What you offer

  • 12+ years of relevant experience in the financial services industry in a Risk related role
  • Experience in the global Asset Management industry
  • Strong understanding of business control environments and technology through prior risk management or equivalent roles
  • Strong team leadership and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to initiate conversations and clearly communicate with senior stakeholders, including external board members
