Overall job purpose
The DDaT – Lead Business Partnership Manager has responsibility for ensuring the DDaT team have an active and healthy relationship with the business units it serves. They will ensure stakeholders are involved in the IT lifecycle and are informed of ongoing work programmes and projects. They will lead research into emerging technologies and ensure the Council are prepared for changes in the technology landscape.
Reporting to the DDaT IT Operations Manager, this post will play a key role in achieving the strategic goals of the DDaT team through delivery of the Corporate and Education IT Strategies. They will provide strategic leadership, direction and management of their teams and associated resources within the council but also as part of regional and national programmes, projects and initiatives.
A significant element of the role will be to coordinate the project management and delivery of major, complex IT projects, leading to the implementation of changes in technology and mapping business process across the council and as part of the wider collaborative agenda.
The post holder will take responsibility and accountability for the day-to-day overall delivery of Business Partnering service using business analysis techniques to work with customers to identify opportunities for service efficiencies that could be gained from the implementation of new technology.
