Job Description
- Design and implement cloud architectures that meet the scalability, security, and performance needs of the organization. Evaluate and recommend cloud services and technologies that align with business objectives.
- Oversee the deployment, management, and maintenance of cloud environments, including public, private, and hybrid clouds. Ensure that cloud systems are optimized for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Implement and enforce security best practices in the cloud environment, ensuring that all deployments meet compliance requirements and organizational security policies.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline cloud operations. Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate cloud services with CI/CD pipelines.
- Set up monitoring tools to track the performance and health of cloud infrastructure. Lead efforts to troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues.
- Monitor and optimize cloud spend, ensuring that the organization is getting the best value from its cloud investments. Provide cost projections and budgeting support to the finance team.
- Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to understand their needs and provide appropriate cloud solutions. Act as the point of contact for cloud-related queries and escalations.
Stay updated with the latest cloud trends, tools, and technologies. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of cloud operations.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Proven track record of designing and implementing cloud architectures for large-scale applications.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in cloud infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and identity management in cloud environments.
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures.
