As a Lead Cloud Platform Engineer, you’ll bring strong Azure skills and expertise and play a major part in AXA UK’s cloud transformation and build best in class platform features and services.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You’ll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. • Providing expert guidance and architectural recommendations to clients regarding Azure services and solutions
• Working as a technical lead to perform technical platform build activities including Azure and workload configuration for scaling, optimisation, and resilience
• Ensuring our Platform Engineers develop and maintain knowledge of security controls and inform our implementation and configuration practices, highlighting non-conformance when identified
• Leading, developing and maintaining knowledge of the cloud and digital software platform best practice to inform design and strategic planning
• Ensuring that our platform engineering function supports the rapid development of business systems leading to increased business capability, reliability and security
• Responsibility for maintaining IT application infrastructure and technical documentation
• Staying up to date with the latest Azure technologies and trends and evaluate their suitability and technical usage and governance requirements
