Description:

As a Lead Cloud Platform Engineer, you’ll bring strong Azure skills and expertise and play a major part in AXA UK’s cloud transformation and build best in class platform features and services.

You’ll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Responsibilities:
- Providing expert guidance and architectural recommendations to clients regarding Azure services and solutions
- Working as a technical lead to perform technical platform build activities including Azure and workload configuration for scaling, optimisation, and resilience
- Ensuring our Platform Engineers develop and maintain knowledge of security controls and inform our implementation and configuration practices, highlighting non-conformance when identified
- Leading, developing and maintaining knowledge of the cloud and digital software platform best practice to inform design and strategic planning
- Ensuring that our platform engineering function supports the rapid development of business systems leading to increased business capability, reliability and security
- Responsibility for maintaining IT application infrastructure and technical documentation
- Staying up to date with the latest Azure technologies and trends and evaluate their suitability and technical usage and governance requirements
