Description:
Powys Adult Psychology and Psychological Therapy Service are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and motivated Lead CBT Specialist to join our collaborative, friendly and supportive team of Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, Cognitive Behavioural Therapists, Trauma Therapy Specialists, Clinical Associates in Applied Psychology, and Assistant Psychologists.
The Lead CBT Specialist will be instrumental in further developing and implementing our evidence-based CBT pathways in Powys, including our Tier 0/1 guided self help pathway, our Tier 1 Local Primary Mental Health CBT Pathway and our Tier 2 Specialist CBT Pathways. They will provide clinical leadership across our CBT pathways in additional to operationally managing a small and dedicated team of CBT practitioners.
The Psychology and Psychological Therapy Service is highly regarded within the Mental Health and Learning Disability Directorate. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a key intervention pathway as part of our ‘core offer’ as a service. We pride ourselves on delivering person-centred and evidence-based psychological interventions in line with local and national legislation, policy and guidelines.
We have one full time role available, and we are open to considering part-time or job share arrangements for the right candidate(s) in addition to considering agile working arrangements with a blend of home working and office/clinic-based working.
The role will involve working closely with senior colleagues in the Psychology and Psychological Therapies Service to provide clinical leadership across our CBT clinical pathways at all service tiers, including:
- Tier 0/1 online CBT guided self-help pathway (utilising the SilverCloud platform)
- Tier 1 Local Primary Mental Health CBT Pathway
- Tier 2/3 Specialist CBT Pathway
Providing operational and clinical leadership to a small team of Cognitive Behavioural Therapists working within the Adult Psychology and Psychological Therapies Service
Leading on, and contribute to, service development, audit and service evaluation of CBT pathways in Powys.
Direct and indirect clinical work with service users. Specifically, carrying a specialist caseload of clients presenting with moderate to severe and enduring mental health issues, as well as providing consultation, supervision and support to the team and the wider mental health service on complex cases.
Powys THB hosts an All Wales online guided self-help service which utilises the SilverCloud platform. The post holder will work closely with the service, including attending Programme Board meetings, providing group supervision to our team of CBT supporters, and contributing to the development of local and national clinical pathways. as appropriate.
