Description:

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:

The Lead, Corporate Financial Reporting is responsible for all aspects of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for related accounts and areas assigned, including but not limited to review of journal entries, account reconciliations, other reports, schedules, and analyses as needed. This role will also be responsible for preparing and verifying supporting schedules and analyses for consolidated financial reporting, managerial reports, and SEC reporting. Lead, Corporate Financial Reporting role will also ensure compliance with controls, policies and procedures, and develop efficient business processes and assist in other special projects as needed. In addition, this position interacts directly with Corporate Accounting team as well as GBS team to analyze financial results and solve financial and accounting matters.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills:

  • Strong trouble shooting, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Profound knowledge and understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Knowledge of SOX regulation and internal control framework
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including intermediate to advanced level in Excel to perform pivot tables, VLOOKUP and high-level functions and formulas
  • Familiar with large Enterprise Resource Planning and large accounting software (i.e., Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP, OneStream)
  • Detailed oriented, self-motivated with ability to prioritize
  • Strong time management skills and be both effective and efficient in work performance
  • Strong communication skills, including presentation delivery
  • Function well in a team-oriented environment

Languages:
o Advance in business English and Spanish

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years accounting work experience in a corporate and/or public accounting setting
  • Experience working in large public multinational company

Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CPA license or equivalent
  • Work experience in Big 4 is preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Review journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of accounting information
  • Prepare complex journal entries and reconciliations as required
  • Monitor monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing and coordinate with other teams where needed
  • Resolve outstanding accounting issues and reconciling items
  • Understand US Accounting rules and requirement and interpret accounting impacts correctly.
  • Analyze complex and non-recurring accounting transactions including researching US GAAP literature, collaboratingwith Financial Reporting team and General Accepted Accounting Principle (GAAP) Directors where needed, providing guidance to staff and documenting accounting analysis
  • Enforce proper accounting methods, controls, policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual SOX documentation and testing
  • Provide ongoing training and guidance to team members and provide feedback for performance improvement.
  • Produce, monitor, analyze and evaluate Accounting data, analytics and reports
  • Coordinate with auditors for audit requests
  • Compile and validate GBS performance metrics and present results to regional and corporate management and leadershipProactively gain and update an understanding of the full accounting cycle for existing and new business process with an interest in the overall business impact and to identify potential process improvements.
  • Perform or assist Accounting Director manage other special projects
