Lead Cost Engineer

Hutcheon Mearns have been engaged by a global E&P company to source a Lead Cost Engineer on a full time basis. This contract position is due to run for circa 18 months and is likely to be extended. This role is based in Aberdeen City Centre with hybrid working.
This role will lead the cost control, compliance and reporting for a vessel dry dock project. You must have extensive cost control experience and have operated at a Senior/Lead level.

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience of large scale Projects and Drydock campaigns (Preferred)
• The candidate will have at least five years oil and gas industry experience and have worked in a similar role for a minimum of three years
• Ability to coach more junior members of the team and provide leadership to the wider team if situation requires it
• A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required to perform this role competently
• Experience of working with Maximo7.6, Vision and Microsoft Office applications will be an advantage although training will be given as required (Preferred)
• Good working knowledge of oil and gas exploration and production business
