Description:

FAMILY DESCRIPTION

Legal (LE) covers all legal business matters pertaining to the organisation and acts as advisor on legal issues involving the organisation’s government and regulatory compliance. Reviews legal data and advises organisation on appropriate legal action to be taken. Demonstrates experience in general corporate matters, including corporate organisation, securities compliance, drafting transactional documents, license agreements, data privacy, risk management, and contract management.

SUBFAMILY DESCRIPTION

Contract Law (CLA) comprises the coordination and management of all matters related to contract law.

  • Provide comprehensive legal support and strategic legal advice to Nokia’s CNS GBC/ENT teams within the Nordics and Baltics region.
  • Assist the CNS GBC/ENT teams in the Nordics and Baltics by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements from inception to completion, coordinating with the relevant teams and collaborating with other legal functions as necessary.
  • Facilitate the CNS sales teams’ navigation of Nokia’s internal approval processes for sales transactions
  • Support local procurement in achieving back-to-back contracts with CNS local suppliers and subcontractors, as needed.
  • Support compliance matters and act as an ambassador of Nokia’s Ethics and Compliance program.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • Qualified lawyer in a European jurisdiction, preferably within the Nordics and Baltics.
  • 7-10 years PQE working in a strategic legal counsel role at a global company, ideally in the telecommunications / IT industry, with experience in complex contracts or as a practicing lawyer (preferably at a top-tier international law firm).
  • Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills with a strong commercial sense regarding risk and reward; detail-oriented combined with a strategic advisory mindset.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to navigate complex situations, balancing multiple factors and considerations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, team player, business-oriented, with a can-do attitude and high level of commitment.
  • Fluent in English (native or fluent proficiency).

Desirable:

  • Proficiency in another European language.Experience spanning both corporate and law firm environments.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Management Experience / Achieved well-advanced skills of a specific professional discipline combining deep knowledge of theory and organisational practice or expertise. Recognised expert in their field (depth & breadth). Typically requires 5-8 years extensive relevant experience and/or a graduate / postgraduate equivalent degree.
