REQUIREMENTS

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in General Practice credentialed from the Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification Program obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • One or more of the following”
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy specialty also accepted.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. NMTCB(CT) Computed Tomography Specialty Certification or ARRT(CT) Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography required in addition to CNMT Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate’s degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities:

Lead the daily operations of assigned department’s services.

  • Ensure quality image, patient care and work flow. Monitors patient documentation for timely completion and accuracy.
  • Oversee quality control testing, equipment maintenance and trouble shooting.
  • Serve as a resource to department staff as well as other members of the team as needed.
  • Perform staff orientation, training, and coaching. Provides input to staff performance evaluations.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storageareas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.
