JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Data Project Lead will provide stewardship over the design, development, and delivery of complex digital analytics projects from initiation to closure. This role requires a leader who can articulate a compelling vision to clients and the team, ensuring that this vision is delivered through all stages of the project. The ideal candidate will have a passion for exploring new technology and developing business cases to support enterprise-wide data analytics solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must-Have:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, with a preference for engineering, computer science, statistics, or analytics.
• Over 8 years of experience leading an analytics consulting team or guiding MNCs to become data-driven organizations.
• More than 10 years of experience in implementing analytics/BI projects, including data governance, KPI visualization, and advanced analytics/data science.
• Hands-on experience with analytics technology stacks and solutions for visualization, advanced analytics, data ingestion/transformation, storage, and hosting.
• Familiarity with tools such as Talend, Denodo, Alation, Oracle Data Warehousing, Microsoft SQL Server, Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI, Python, R, and Jupyter.
• Project management certifications such as PMP, Agile, and ITIL.
• Proven track record in program management, including integration, scope, cost, time, resource, quality, risk, procurement, communication, and stakeholder management.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge in database modeling and data warehousing concepts.
• Appreciation of software engineering tools like Java, .NET, or other higher-level programming languages.
• Exposure to AI, including machine learning, deep learning, and reinforcement learning.
• Experience working with Singaporean clients, the Singapore government, GDPR in Europe, and PDPA in Singapore.
• Certification and applied experience in cloud-based analytics platforms such as Microsoft Azure Analytics, AWS Analytics, and Google Cloud Platform Analytics.

• Oversee the implementation of data analytics strategy for client organizations.
• Provide team leadership and guidance to a Data & AI delivery squad.
• Engage in client-facing interactions, providing analyses, recommendations, presentations, and advice.
• Lead interdisciplinary teams combining technical, business, and data science competencies.
• Ensure alignment with the strategic direction set by senior management.
• Manage budgets, forecasting, work allocations, and staffing.
• Drive effective performance management practices within the department.
• Demonstrate acute ability in project risk and issue management.
• Build a high-performing, motivated, and committed data analytics team.
