About the team
The Applied AI (AAI) Team is a Data Science team that is part of the Monetization Integrity team in the Global Business Solutions of TikTok. It supports the Data Cycling Center, which focuses on empowering businesses with affordable and trusted data & models.

As the leader of the Community Index program, you will lead a team of Data Scientists, analysts, and PM to drive solutions utilizing advanced AI/ML techniques, including Computer Vision (CV), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Audio signal processing. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, such as product, operations, and engineering teams, to generate actionable insights from the rich content within the TikTok ecosystem. Leveraging state-of-the-art modeling technologies, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing monetization strategies and influencing key business decisions.
What You’ll Do
1. Utilize state-of-the-art (SOTA) machine learning technologies to extract valuable insights and optimize monetization strategies;
2. Lead the team in extracting, analyzing, and applying data insights to influence key clients’ strategic business decisions, driving additional revenue for TikTok;
3. Verify project business value and estimated impact using methods such as A/B testing;
4. Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy and scale data science solutions;
5. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, fostering their development and growth.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics;
2. 3 years of experience leading Data Science teams;
3. Background in consulting or client solutions;
4. Experience with exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis, and hypothesis testing, and model development;
5. Clear understanding of data pipelines, data solution development, testing, and deployment.
Preferred Qualifications
1. 5 years of experience leading Data Science teams;
2. Strong communication skills, demonstrated through documentation and presentations;
4. Ability to present findings to senior management to inform business decisions.
