Description:

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Ability to write code, test and deploy using programming languages like Java, python, etc.
  • Ability to create AI models and enhance it to learn from the code developed.
  • Ability to customize the AI models to manage large amounts of unstructured and structured data sets.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout, and design professional skills including ability to present briefings and AI/RPA concepts to federal employees and other stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of Cloud Platforms, AI, RPA, and other new technologies.
  • Ability to accomplish goals and take directions from managers.
  • Proficiency in understanding and managing solutions on major cloud platforms such as MS Azure and AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with the GenAI LLM model, especially its integration via API.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility-multi-task adaptability.
  • Ability to interact with a variety of individuals in a courteous and professional manner.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of software development experience specifically in the writing code using Java, Python etc.
  • 3 to 5 years proven experience in managing and deploying AI or RPA solutions on MS Azure, AWS, Google GCP, or similar platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with the GenAI LLM model and familiarity with its API integration.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security protocols and data protection best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple teams.

EDUCATION

  • Position requires BS/BA degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with 10 years of experience OR a MS/MA degree in STEM discipline with 8 years of experience.

Responsibilities:

As a Lead Developer -Artificial Intelligence, you will be responsible for the implementation of AI solutions that address complex business challenges for the agency. You will collaborate closely with various program offices, data scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders to create customized AI solutions that leverage the latest technologies and best practices. Some high-level duties include but are not limited to the following

  • Conduct outreach activities across the agency to multiple program offices to promote OCIO efforts on AI, Machine Learning (ML) and Robotics Process Automation (RPA).
  • Support and develop Enterprise Technology Platform (ETP) to establish AI, ML and RPA platforms and governance for the agency.
  • Develop and maintain AI strategies based on understanding of the agency challenges, and how to integrate AI capabilities that lead to solutions.
  • Provide strategic advice and support on advanced AI/ML concepts, systems, technologies, and initiatives to leadership at all levels.
  • Build data science infrastructure to include developing and maintaining databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
  • Design and implement machine learning algorithms based on recommended solutions.
  • Transition machine learning models from development environments to production systems.
  • Convert AI/ML models into APIs that can be re-used.
  • Research, evaluate, and make recommendations on emerging AI technologies for potential application to current and future systems.
  • Develop proof of concepts and models for transitioning into operational environments.
  • Model, build, and test AI applications to ensure it is able to intake large amount of data and achieve desired results.
  • Proactive and current on AI knowledge, with industry trends and regulations, and introduce these best practices to cross-functional product teams.
  • Integrate GenAI LLM models using its API into our products and ensure seamless functionality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and API integration strategies.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of AI applications, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to AI model performance or cloud infrastructure using Azure, AWS etc.
