Join us at Kew to lead the development of a new version of Index Fungorum, one of the oldest and most respected resources in fungal nomenclature. Established in 1940 and brought online in 2000, Index Fungorum is a critical tool for the mycological community. Your work will help modernize this resource, ensuring it continues to serve as an authoritative source of fungal nomenclature data.
In this role, you will focus on the technical development of the Index Fungorum platform, working closely with taxonomists at Kew and curators of other international fungal nomenclature databases. Your primary responsibilities will include stabilizing existing mycological tools, designing and implementing a new hosted architecture, and creating a user-friendly, WCAG-compliant UI/UX.
