Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside our current dev team to understand current state and document and implement future state.
  • Lead the onshore development team, managing the product development processes aligned with our development partners.
  • Operate an agile development approach, utilising continuous integration and JIRA to manage the application.
  • Own the future direction of our mobile application in its current framework MAUI.
  • Lead our technical testing function and approach for flawless release management of the platform.
  • Help drive and deliver the roadmap in 2025/26 and beyond and manage the back-log of features and new development requests, post transition from the existing near-shored team.
  • Oversee the technical direction of the product, technologies used and processes to manage our existing code base, automations and reporting suite (PowerBI).
  • Control and improve quality and security controls and support the business on its journey to ISO27001.
  • Work with the broader sales and delivery teams to shape the future of the business.
  • Work with the Operations Director and Managing Director to hit the development KPIs.

This role will suit a highly experienced Lead / Principle / Senior Software Developer with aspirations to get to CTO or Software Engineering Leader. Candidates should come from other SaaS or mobile software development businesses; ideally been through a start/scale-up and have experience of in and/or outsourcing software development. Key technical skills include:

  • Dev ops skills – specifically AWS and Azure, Terraform, CI/CD configuration, Containers, Linux administration.
  • Mobile app development knowledge – experience in MAUI would also be ideal. Xamarin or Flutter or other mobile frameworks would be an advantage.
  • PowerBI/Power Automate knowledge an advantage
  • Exposure to NET / C#, Angular 2X, PostgreSQL, Document DB (Mongo), Open Search, Redis, Firebase, Docker, Git

Your base salary £80-90,000 DOE is supplemented by a generous benefits package to include 33 days leave including public holidays, company discretionary bonus, remote and hybrid working, gym and private health care and company pension. Candidates can be based anywhere in the UK with occasional travel to Leeds HQ.
