Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
Lead Developer – Workforce Team, Hicom
Hicom have a diverse portfolio of solutions ranging from an NHS national recruitment system to diabetes and patient care systems used across the UK and UAE.
We are looking for an experienced Lead Developer to oversee our Workforce development team and ensure the successful delivery of our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for building cutting-edge software solutions.
The role requires an individual who can take a complex requirement and turn it into a solution within agreed timescales and to exacting standards. The role will suit an experienced developer with a track record of successful delivery of high-quality and robust code. The individual should be a problem solver who enjoys the technical challenges that come with this senior role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and build high-quality, scalable, performant, and secure web applications.
- Problem solver by nature who enjoys working with complex technical and functional requirements.
- Able to take ownership of large tasks and/or projects acting as a leading technical voice.
- Passion for technology and desire to continuously improve own technical skills and capabilities.
- Apply clear and decisive logical thinking with the ability to respond well under pressure.
- Provide technical input to requirement design, approach, and estimation.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers.
- Review and monitor code quality and provide feedback on poor coding practices.
- Able to influence and appreciate different software architecture, topography, and design patterns.
- Comfortable working and leading developers across different Microsoft technologies (C#, .NET Core, WPF, VB, etc.)
- Appreciate the bigger picture surrounding software projects including timescales, testing, client delivery, etc.
- Able to work across multiple projects at different lifecycles (legacy, green field, etc.)
- Be pro-active in identifying technical and delivery risks.
- Assist with the support of systems already in production.
