Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in mechanical design, material selection, and testing methods. Lead design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams on complex engineering challenges.
  • Aid Sales team with New Engineering Opportunities
  • Input to the feasibility of new products and attend Accept Decline meetings.
  • Quote creation for NPI’s and report on progress in “Quotes in progress” Meetings. Including: Component cost, Labour and Overhead, Plating, NRE.
  • Carry out NPI gate stages from concept to handover to manufacturing.
  • Ensure timely delivery of Engineering Revenue through project management.
  • Input to the New Product Strategic development.
  • Create Marketing Literature for new and existing products.
  • Create manufacturing Job sheets and specifications.
  • Use of ERP to create and maintain manufacturing documentation.
  • Disposition of product, raise and approve Concessions for non-conforming product/process.
  • Responsibility for configuration control for drawings, manufacturing documentation and ERP.
  • Review and implementation of customer drawing change requests.
  • Creation of new Process Specifications to introduce new manufacturing standards.
  • Ensuring product manufactured meets specification and the testing/documentation to accompany this.
  • Lead customer technical discussions. (Internally and externally).
  • Ensure Source Change process is completed correctly and in-line with AS9100.
  • Carry out such other duties that may be reasonably requested
