Description:

This role is only open to applicants that currently work within an NHS Trust within the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System (HIOW ICS).
A fabulous opportunity to innovate within diabetes healthcare, in a newly developed position, leading and developing the diabetes specialist nursing team in providing gold standard care across multiple sites.
You will join a Multidisciplinary team consisting of Nursing staff, medial Staff, Dieticians, Psychology and Administrators as well as operational support, who provide both inpatient and outpatient care with the patient at the heart of the service.
In partnership with the multidisciplinary team the post holder will lead and develop the provision of a specialist nursing service, delivering high quality clinical care
To develop and manage the HHFT secondary care diabetes specialist insulin pump service
Ensuring adequate and safe provision of diabetes insulin pump services that meet client need statutory requirements and professional responsibilities, including challenging and addressing poor performance and practice.
The post holder will demonstrate a high level of expertise within the specialist service providing advice, education and support to staff, patients, their families and carers Overall managerial responsibility for a defined service of Clinical Nurse Specialists / Specialist Practitioners.
Responsibility for leading the on-going development of clinical practice and standards of care within the service, including the development of policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues.
The post holder will practice autonomously within their defined specialty to provide patient centred quality care. This will encompass the skills of advanced clinical assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment within an agreed scope of practice.
