Description:

Are you ready to take the wheel and drive the EMED Group to new heights? We are seeking a dynamic Lead Driver to oversee our fleet management, control and dispatch, planning, warehouse management, customer service, and operational support.
Location: Shrewsbury, Shropshire
Contract: Full Time - 40 hours per week / Permanent

Responsibilities:

  • Fleet Management: Take charge of our vehicles, ensuring they are well-maintained, fully functional, and compliant with safety regulations. Coordinate maintenance schedules and optimize routes for efficient delivery while prioritizing driver and public safety.
  • Control and Dispatch: Be the backbone of our operations by overseeing the timely dispatch of vehicles and drivers to ensure smooth and on-time delivery of healthcare supplies and equipment, adhering to traffic regulations and safety guidelines.
  • Planning: Utilize your keen organizational skills to plan routes, schedules, and assignments, considering factors such as traffic, delivery windows, and urgent items, while prioritising the safety and well-being of drivers and the public.
  • Warehouse Management: Collaborate with our warehouse team to oversee inventory management, including receiving, storage, and distribution of healthcare products while ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols.
  • Customer Service: Exemplify our commitment to exceptional customer service by resolving delivery-related issues, addressing queries, and maintaining positive relationships with our clients and wider team.
  • Supporting Operations: Provide operational support to our team, including training new drivers on daily schedules, implementing safety protocols, and continuously improving processes to maximize efficiency and minimize risks.
