Description:

We are looking for a full time Lead Duct Fitter to join our established team of HVAC install engineers. As a Thermatic Duct Fitter you are a key member of the Thermatic Projects team. The Install team’s main aim is to support clients with their mechanical installation requirements. As Duct Fitter, you will support this purpose by carrying out the installation and commission of commercial duct work, HRU and MVHR for a national client-base.

Responsibilities:

THIS IS A FULLY MOBILE ROLE WITH NATIONAL COVERAGE AND WORKING AWAY REQUIRED AND REQUIRES A FULL UK DRIVING LICENCE.

Thermatic Technical FM provide complete nationwide coverage, across the full spectrum of Hard FM services to large, commercial clients.
Our team of mobile engineers are supported by the account teams at Head Office to provide both reactive breakdown and planned maintenance services to our clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Undertaking all aspects of duct and MVHR installation and commission of commercial HVAC equipment to manufacturing specifications and local regulations, working alongside other installation engineers and Project Manager.
  • Providing site measurements and survey information during a project
  • Supporting the timely delivery of projects to agreed timescales
  • Support technical aspects of project and find opportunities to secure further work
  • Provide out of hours assistance due to the requirements if the premises and clients
  • Supporting clients nationally and attending client sites across mainland UK
  • Maintain positive and constructive client relationships throughout whole process
  • Attending client meetings as required
  • Balancing and commissioning duct installations then providing certification
  • Staying ahead and educated in the latest fire stopping requirements. Including dampers and other materials.
  • Producing technical and situational reports as required
  • Escalating any major site issues or incidents via the appropriate channel and within acceptable timeframes
  • Assisting office-based staff with producing quotations by providing accurate and good quality information where extra works are identified
