We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about electronic circuit design and electrical integration of embedded systems. The candidate will be put in charge of the electrical and electronic development within the company to enhance the range of products offered by ARA Robotics.

Under the supervision of the Director of Engineering, the Lead Electrical Engineer will participate in the delivery of project deliverables for solution development projects for ARA Robotics clients, as well as in the development of internal products.

ARA Robotics is a Montreal-based start-up founded in 2014 that offers technological solutions in the UAV sector for commercial & defense applications. ARA Robotics is currently seeking a lead electrical engineer.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Printed circuit board design
Electrical harness design
Electronic card assembly
Experience with Altium Designer software
Experience with agile project management software suites
Experience in managing technical teams

Responsibilities:
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in defining the electrical architecture of systems
Define the technical requirements of electronic cards and electrical harnesses to be designed
Define test plans to validate the designed electronic cards and electrical harnesses
Contribute to project planning and estimation efforts in proposals
Monitor the progress of the electrical design team
Design schematics and perform electronic card routing
Review technical documents produced by junior designers
Contribute to the technical writing of projects
Collaborate on technical documentation writing
Provide daily, weekly, and/or monthly updates to project managers
Propose improvements to electrical and electronic design processes
