Description:
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Functional oversight of electrical engineering team
- Planning and scoping of design components
- Technical input for project planning and cost estimation
- Ensuring design integrity and compliance with standards
- Participation in tenders and proposals
- Contract negotiations
- Design generation and review
- Engineering change management
- Participation in testing and commissioning activities
- Facilitation of plant performance and acceptance tests
- Involvement in HAZOP studies
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- B.Sc or B.Eng in Electric Engineering / Electronic Engineering
- ECSA registration non-negotiable
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience
- Minimum of 5 years in the EPC industry.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS COMPETENCIES
Knowledge:
- Electrical codes and standards
- OHS Act and its Regulations and how it applies to the Electrical Disciplines
- Principles of ISO, ASME-NQA-1 and IAEA quality systems
- Lesedi IMS (Integrated Management System)

Responsibilities:
The Discipline Lead Engineer for Electrical Engineering will provide specialist support and expertise to the electrical engineering team throughout all project lifecycle phases (Engineering/Procurement/Construction). This role is responsible for delivering projects, ensuring compliance with applicable design codes and standards, and overseeing the electrical engineering team’s work.
