We’re seeking a Lead Engineer - HV Safety to join our rapidly growing team. Reporting to our Engineering Manager – Powertrain System Validation, you will be responsible for the analysis, documentation and implementation of the HV Safety concept for the Electric Powertrain engineering function. As part of the Integration and Validation team, the candidate will work alongside key stakeholders and suppliers to complete in depth analysis of the high voltage systems and provide oversight and guidance to fellow team members.
This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity from our offices near Leamington Spa. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.

Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the HV Safety measures that are required to produce safe operation of high volume BEVs, both during development phases and also as a design philosophy integrated into production solutions.
  • Definition of High Voltage System SFMEA along with support of DFMEA and DVP definition to ensure that the high voltage safety principles are included in all aspects of the design process.
  • Identification and reporting of risks associated with the development process and design decisions taken by the group.
  • Documentation of HV Safety Strategies to ensure compliance during development and through to production.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive safety standards, working with the homologation and functional safety teams, including ISO26262 and ECE R100 amongst others.
