- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or a related field.
- Extensive experience in engineering design and product development.
- Proficiency in Norwegian and technical English, both spoken and written.
- Strong understanding of commercial aspects.

- Creative, organized, and systematic approach.
- Strong oral and written presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of industry standards and compliance, including NORSOK, NEK & NS, EN, ASME, ANSI, API, IEC, FEM 1001, and IMO.

As a Lead Mechanical Engineer (LEMech), you will be a key player in providing top-notch technical support across our organization. Your expertise will be crucial in:
- Supporting our Client Support, Sales, and Rental teams.
- Driving Engineering Projects, Tender Team efforts, and New Product Development.
- Staying ahead of market and technology trends, and analyzing competitor technologies.
Assisting the Engineering & Innovation Manager and Sales Teams in making strategic commercial decisions.Geographic region - will be predominantly Norway but also supporting our activities in Canada and new growth areas like Malaysia & Indonesia.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide qualified technical support to our Rental Business in all mechanical and process disciplines
- Actively join in all activities in the Engineering & Technical Department.
- Individual Project Engineering-budget responsibility.
- Engineering design & development from “clean page”.
- Actively look for new products and solutions.
- Work in disciplines such as Hydraulics, Fluid dynamics, Sheet Metal, Piping, Structure, Lifting and Mechanical engineering.
- Work together with Electrical, Instrumentation, Access techniques etc.
- Participate in technical tender clarifications and negotiation sessions.
- Join in New Product Development (NPD) and develop technical solutions.
- Assess technical requisitions or enquiries for their technical and commercial risks.
- Evaluate technical implementation models, in the event of a tender approval and the consequences of these.
- Conduct thorough risk analyses for equipment, including joining ATEX risk assessments.
- Report on project progress to all relevant stakeholders.
- Mentor others and develop own engineering competency & talent.
