JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Program Management Lead Engineer holds responsibility in areas of functional development, operations, and sustainability of key foundational gas power engineering tools, with emphasis on our widely used Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software and its integrations with other software tools. The position is part of the CMPD Pillar Engineering Tools (PET) organization, a cohesive team of applications specialists, backend developers, and system administrators who influence the way engineering collaboration works across GE Vernova Gas Power.
The Lead Engineer will play a key role as we transition PLMs from the current GTCC platform to a future tool built on the Teamcenter platform. This multi-year project offers an outstanding opportunity for one to gain expertise in the retirement phases of a large mature software and the exciting, collaborative energies that go into the development and introduction of Gas Power Engineering’s (GPE’s) next generation PLM solution. The role will later develop into a key player to drive future phases of PLM capability. Lead Engineer activities also include facilitation and contribution towards applying and shaping our approach to standard work, activity visibility, new ideas, process-tool integration. and continuous improvement.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Computer Science.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a design and/or manufacturing role, with a minimum of 3 years of that applied to power plant components.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to travel regionally and internationally.
  • Fluent in English.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUISES

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $98,400-$120,000 USD Annual.

The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This Senior Professional Band position is also eligible for A Variable Incentive (VIC PW ) Bonus of 10%.

  • The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a lead for functional ownership of the GTCC PLM platform, helping enable the realization of enhancements and sustainability needs and participating in IT’s quarterly Planning Interval (PI) cycle.
  • Work with the PLM Program Manager, helping coordinate the planning and execution of activities associated with the transition to our next generation Teamcenter PLM platform.
  • For current and future PLM platforms, serve as a liaison between IT and GPE to clarify system integration needs focused on GPE project setup and execution.
  • Help drive metric-based action plans for PLM defects and task On-Time Delivery (OTD).
  • Support and refine communication rhythm, standard work, and training material in coverage areas.
  • Across the PET team, lead facilitation efforts to centralize task visibility in each tool development workspace, targeting a standardized effort per unit volume approach.
  • Collaborate with a global team of professionals across multiple geographies and time zones.
  • Take on additional scope, as requested, when capacity and emergent needs allow.
