Responsibilities:
The Lead Engineer Tooling is responsible for the Tooling Team and all related activities to ensure timely and cost-optimized availability of tooling and services for aircraft maintenance within the scope of EAT Leipzig
- Personnel management of assigned employees
- Responsibility for organizing the workflow of the Tooling Team
- Responsibility for equipment inspections in cooperation with the Development & Infrastructure department
- Responsibility for the internal repair process of GSE/Tooling
- Responsibility for replacement procurement of Tooling/GSE during repairs or expired equipment inspections
- Responsibility and organization of calibration/comparison measurements of tools and related processes.
- Identification of tooling and GSE needs in relation to new acquisitions
- Providing sufficient personnel in terms of quantity and qualification to fulfill all tasks according to the standard.
- Ensuring timely and cost-optimized availability of tools required for maintenance (line and base)
- Coordinating with the Maintenance, Engineering, HSE, and Purchasing departments in the procurement of new specialized tools
- Independent management of TRAX/AMOS systems as part of job responsibilities
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws/regulations regarding health, safety, and environmental protection in the responsible area
- Establishing KPIs for GSE/Tooling Cross-departmental coordination, control, and quality assurance as part of job responsibilities
- Contributing to cross-functional projects
