About the role
ATB is part way through an aggressive 10 year strategy with the objectives of establishing new business and operating models that take advantage of current and emerging technologies. Agile, Salesforce, SAP, Cloud Native, API integration patterns and AI are at the cornerstone of this journey. The investment in these technologies and capabilities has resulted in a hybrid of classic and new capabilities.
This role will help guide the enterprise as it further aligns to our future business strategies and models to find the balance of cost, agility and business value. Understanding current and future business value will require a strong relationship and high level of alignment with ATB’s CXTO portfolio to find opportunities to add new value. Enterprise Design will participate in an architecture and engineering community, working closely with other technology teams and business stakeholders to ensure products and services are developed and maintained in alignment with technology patterns and business objectives.
The Lead Enterprise Architect will assist in the establishment and guidance of technology domains and technology enabled business models.
Accountabilities

The primary responsibilities of the Enterprise Design leader are:

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Documenting current state and future state architecture
  • Develop and maintain capability models
  • Identify and analyze business and IT risks
  • Develop and implement solutions to improve the organization’s IT infrastructure
  • Work with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and develop solutions
  • Communicate the role of enterprise architecture to stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in enterprise architecture

Skills, experience & requirements

  • Experience in the financial industry
  • Bachelor’s degree or related experience in computer science, information systems, or a related field
  • 10+ years experience in corporate IT environments.
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise architecture
  • Strong understanding of business and IT strategy
  • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and tools
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience leading a high performing team

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Strong conceptual thinking skills
  • Collaborative, with a bias to achieving results
  • Effective at facilitating teamwork in a matrix organization and resolving conflict
  • Decisive when required
  • Adaptable
  • Strong communication skills, ability to present confidently to senior executives
  • Attention to detail and strong planning and management ability.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead in a matrixed organization.
