Description:

LEAD FINANCE ANALYST

This Lead Finance Analyst will support the Commercial Banking Operations.

This role will have general Finance and FP&A responsibilities with respect to Commercial Banking Operations expenses and efficiency initiatives, inclusive of the following:

  • Forecasting/budgeting
  • Month end activities
  • Financial Reporting
  • Tracking and monitoring efficiency initiatives
  • Trending and analysis of underlying expense drivers
  • Delivery of expense insights to business and financial leadership

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Finance experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, analytics, reporting or financial/statistical modeling, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educatio

Desired Qualifications:

  • Financial industry experience supporting a line of business
  • BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills. Knowledge and understanding of Essbase Finance tools for reporting and analysis
  • Experience with financial forecasting, planning, and reporting
  • Strong analytical skills, detail oriented with focus timely and accurate execution.
  • Proven relationship builder - able to consult with business partners of all levels
  • Ability to communicate effectively, translate and present financials, projects and data in a manner that educates, enhances understanding, and influence decisions
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Good time management skills and ability to multi-task and handle competing priorities under pressure.
  • Proven ability to foster relationships, promote teamwork, influence, and motivate others

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THIS ROLE:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Finance Analyst to join Wholesale Operations Finance team providing direct support for the Commercial Banking business.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with senior business leaders and other key stakeholders to drive overall financial performance, metric improvement and achievement of planned expectations and initiatives for CB Operations
  • Ensure efficient and effective execution of finance strategy
  • Recommend opportunities to senior business leaders that help achieve business objectives
  • Enhance framework to help deliver key forecasting projections as well as management of financial reporting
  • Meet deliverables and drive new initiatives with solid understanding of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to less experienced teammates
