The role is responsible for the full spectrum of Distribution Compensation Operations. The team reports to Head of Finance Operations. The scope covers daily processing, accounting, its related reconciliation, check and balance, user testing, validations, compensation instruction and management of agency queries. The expectations of the team are accuracy, efficiency and timely processing/ validation / queries response within relevant policies, statutory and regulatory requirement/guideline/timeline. This role is to lead the team’s continuous effort to seek and formulate strategy for efficiency, productive, and effective processing risk control of the complex multi-layer of business rule against system design and stay align with all governing rules. The role also responsible to strategize the team’s proposition in supporting business needs. It is the team’s esteem responsibility to alert the management of any potential issue and risk that could be potential impact the company unfavorably in the scope of duties.

Job Description:

  • Oversee and support Distribution Compensation Operations activities, to ensure validations and payments are executed accurately and timely.
  • Timing and accurate accounting of compensation schemes
  • Lead the team to understand the business requirements from business case/request and visualisations of business data.
  • Analyse data to identify patterns and draw insights to support business decisions
  • Implement the analytical insight into the business process by coordinating different functions and/or stakeholders
  • Propose, develop, implement processing models and present the explainable outcomes to support the organisation’s operations and execution of key distribution compensation strategies.
  • Development of framework for new and existing initiatives with control and governance
  • Oversight of end-to-end workflow process while ensuring risk and control points are well established.

Working Experience

  • At least 8-10 years working experience in Finance
  • Managerial role in auditing or operations preferably in financial industry in Singapore.
  • Managing a sizeable team.
  • Familiarity with Compensation in administration and support.
  • Familiarity with database, cloud, and various FP&A tools is an added advantage.

Education

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance/Statistics/Mathematics/Economic
  • Professional Qualification such as ACCA, CPA
